After activating the Swift Woo Search plugin, you must click the “Rebuild Search Index” button on the Settings page to enable full functionality.

This step initializes the internal product index that powers fast and accurate search results. Without this step, the plugin will fall back to standard WordPress search logic, which does not provide real-time ranking, advanced relevance scoring, or partial keyword matching.

Important: Rebuilding the index is only required once after installation, but you can repeat it anytime—for example, after major product updates or imports.

You can also automate this process using the “Rebuild Search Index Interval” setting (in hours), which ensures your catalog stays up to date.
